1. Rising Energy costs

With the recent steady increase in the cost of natural gas, oil, and electricity we at US Stove believe a wood burning stove could drastically reduce your heating bill and provide heat without the use of electricity. Securing a reliable way to heat your home is always a good plan, no matter what the economic and political landscape looks like. Our wood stoves provide you the ability to be less dependent on modern life’s uncertainties.

In 2022 alone the current cost of energy rose to 7.5% in the United States. Some European countries have seen a 25%+ increase in energy costs which is forcing governments to severely restrict power consumption.

2. Security & Reliability

The global response to Covid-19 showed us all how fragile our “just in time” delivery and global supply chain systems really are. Our wood stoves do not rely on electricity to operate so as long as you have wood to burn, you can weather any kind of winter storm with an abundance of heat.

In 2021, Texas experienced a severe ice storm that left over 4.5 million Americans without power for more than a week with temperatures dropping to 0°, which is not a common temperature for most of Texas in February. Imagine the peace of mind from knowing that as long as you can find wood you would be able to heat your home and provide warmth and security for your family, with or without power.

At US Stove we have been providing families with affordable alternative heating for over 150 years. Entering into a new year with all our technological advancements it’s interesting that our simple, yet powerful, wood stove is coming back into high demand into the living rooms across America.

3. Higher Efficiency & More Heat

Did you know that a regular fireplace is only capable of burning at 10-25% efficiency? With a modern wood or pellet burning stove you can achieve 70-75% efficiency, this is due to very deliberate engineering to re-burn the smoke in the wood stove before it passes through the chimney using secondary combustion technology and EPA rated safety test. This simply means that our modern wood burning stoves are about 3 times more efficient at heating your home than a traditional fireplace, higher efficiency plus more heat equals a happy family and essentially lower heating bills.

“Most traditional open fireplaces loose over 90 percent of the fire’s heat out the chimney, and much of the heated air in the room goes with it.”

4. Fewer Emissions & Carbon Neutral

Another added benefit of the secondary combustion is the reduction in emissions, our US Stove team of engineers have worked diligently to meet the EPA standards for cleaner air and the certification of our wood burning stoves.

“Certified” means that a wood-burning appliance meets EPA clean air standards and generates less smoke and fewer particles than a non-certified stove and uses less wood to create more heat.

All certified wood-burning appliances have been independently tested by an accredited laboratory to meet particulate emission limits specific to the type of appliance.

5. Morale & Aesthetics

We all experienced social isolation during the covid lockdowns, imagine being able to brighten up that time and experience with the comfort of a real fire and its relaxing atmosphere. Studies have shown that there are four re-occurring themes associated with the benefits of fire, namely, immediate gratification; hope and empowerment; self-concept and emotional security. We like to believe that our wood stoves are providing your family with security from modern life’s uncertainties.
