Vogelzang 1,200 Sq. Ft. Wood Stove
The Vogelzang VG1120-L is a beautiful air tight plate steel wood burning stove with a charcoal black finish. A heavy cast iron door with air washed ceramic glass allows a magnificent view of the burning fire that will enhance any hearth setting. The VG1120-L wood stove meets the stringent requirements of the EPA “Step 2″ 2020 Certification Guidelines. This wood stove has 68,000 BTUs that can heat up to 1,200 square feet. The Vogelzang VG1120-L burns logs up to 18” in length on sturdy steel legs. Here’s how it works: the primary air inlet at the front of the stove ignites the wood upon start up. Once burning, the secondary air inlet at the rear of the firebox feeds air to the top of the stove through three (3) ignition tubes directly above the wood. The result is that you have ignition, or fire, at the bottom and at the top of the wood stove which, in effect, consumes the wood. This is a very efficient method of getting the most energy possible out of the wood that you are burning. The VG1120-L model replaces the previous Vogelzang models TR001, TR001B, TR001WS and APS1100 wood stoves.

Nice little stove
We got our stove installed last summer and have used it to supplement LP useage. I believe we should be able to save close to 150 gallons of LP per year. But, the nice thing about it is the ambience of having a fire in the home and the warm room it sits in. Often we have to open a window to cool the room down. It’s funny sometimes it will get to the upper 70’s even 80 degrees in our great room. Our home is rather small, so it works well for us. After a year and a half the only issues we have had was the roller on the door latch needed adjusted and re tightened. And once in a while the front door glass needs cleaned. We have found the best way to do that is after it cools to use ZEP oven cleaner and just wipe it off. The ash door has never needed emptied , not sure why that is even there. Would recommend for small rooms.
