US Stove CCS18 Caribou Outfitter Camp Stove – 18 Inch

US Stove CCS18 Caribou Outfitter Camp Stove – 18 Inch

US Stove Company’s Caribou Camp Stoves were developed to bring our home heating knowledge to the outdoors. Designed with the necessary features to be the addition to any expedition gear. The Caribou Outfitter is lightweight and easy to pack allowing it to go anywhere you need to keep you warm. In areas where open fires are not permitted this portable stove could be a handy item to have. Each stove comes packed neatly in a non-rattle carry case with all 6 feet of the chimney pipe, legs and racks making them extremely portable. The ample 117 sq. in. cooking surface allows for plenty of room to cook a meal for your group and the included racks are great for drying gloves, socks, and other small items after a soggy hike. The racks also allow for indirect heat cooking of baked potatoes, foil wrapped meats, and also fold up to be used as an easy to carry handle. The included legs have extendable feet to allow for use on uneven surfaces. The Caribou Outfitter model is perfect for small to medium sized tent installations yet weighs only 18 pounds making it a welcome addition to any gear set. The Caribou Outfitter stove also makes a great gift idea for your favorite camper, fisherman (great for ice-fishing), hunter, or lover of wood-burning stoves.

  • FAQs
    • Where do I get support for my product?
Visit our Support Area for support options.
    • What is my warranty?
All replacement parts are covered for 1 year from the date of purchase. The integrity of the firebox itself is covered for 3 years from the purchase date. Some dealers may sell extended warranties. You will need to contact your dealer for assistance if you have purchased one and are outside of the US Stove coverage time frame.
    • Can I burn corn in my pellet stove?
No, you cannot burn corn in your pellet stove. The pellet stove was designed and tested for wood pellets only. Burning corn in your stove will void your warranty and may create a safety hazard or cause damage to your stove. You should only burn premium hard wood pellets in your pellet stove. The only exception to this rule is if your stove is specially equipped to burn corn like the 6041 Series stoves. These stoves come with an agitator and a special burn pot to allow them to burn corn and other bio-fuels.
    • What are the slides in the back wall or in the bottom of the firebox for?
They are clean-outs for the ash build up. These should be cleaned out AT LEAST every burning season or for every ton of pellets burned. You should check them periodically to ensure there’s not a lot of ash build-up. This will greatly affect the performance of your pellet/corn stove!
    • Do I need a Fresh Air Kit?
This will depend on how air tight the home/building is. If it is very air tight, negative pressure can form and interfere with the proper functioning of the stove. If the unit is installed in a mobile/manufactured home, the fresh air kit is REQUIRED!
