USWorks well. for a while.
I’ve been using my barrel stove every winter for about 15 years now. The barrels and the stove kit all work well, and this stove puts out a very large amount of heat. The gratings work well. They keep my wood off of the bottom and allow me to shovel out ashes from underneath. I’m on my 3rd grating. They seem to last about 7 years or so and then break into pieces. Perhaps constant heat and fire causes corrosion of the iron. I’m not sure. It’s not a big expense to replace it every 5 to 10 years. The good thing is that US Stove co. has replacements available.
