2200 Sq.Ft. King Mini Pellet Stove with 20 lb Hopper and Remote
2200 Sq.Ft. King Mini Pellet Stove with 20 lb Hopper and Remote
Good things come in small packages and the US Stove 5501S pellet stove is sure to continue that tradition. By combining a full size burning system with a small cabinet and hopper, the 5501S combines the best of both worlds. It can heat up to 2,200 sq. ft. yet its small footprint and clearances allow it to fit easily into smaller areas. Upgraded digital controls with a remote control make this stove easy to adjust. The ceramic glass window comes with an air wash system to keep the fire viewable. The 20 LB. hopper provides up to 13 hours of burn time and because of its size, you will get fewer auger jams due to collapsed pellets. Pellet heaters work by using a software driven control board to precisely deliver a predetermined amount of fuel from the hopper into a burn chamber. An electric heating element, used only in startup, heats the pellets until they ignite. The combustion blower forces air through the burn chamber and once ignited, it provides an active combustion of the pellets resulting in very little ash. The exhaust and heat pass through one side of air chambers where on the other side, the variable speed room blower gathers the heat and distributes this through the room. This entire process results in a very clean burning, efficient heating machine for your home.

FAQs
-
What is my warranty?
All replacement parts are covered for 1 year from the date of purchase.
The integrity of the firebox itself is covered for 3 years from the purchase date.
Some dealers may sell extended warranties. You will need to contact your dealer for assistance if you have purchased one and are outside of the US Stove coverage time frame.
-
Can I burn corn in my pellet stove?
No, you cannot burn corn in your pellet stove. The pellet stove was designed and tested for wood pellets only. Burning corn in your stove will void your warranty and may create a safety hazard or cause damage to your stove. You should only burn premium hard wood pellets in your pellet stove. The only exception to this rule is if your stove is specially equipped to burn corn like the 6041 Series stoves. These stoves come with an agitator and a special burn pot to allow them to burn corn and other bio-fuels.
-
What are the slides in the back wall or in the bottom of the firebox for?
They are clean-outs for the ash build up. These should be cleaned out AT LEAST every burning season or for every ton of pellets burned. You should check them periodically to ensure there’s not a lot of ash build-up. This will greatly affect the performance of your pellet/corn stove!
-
Do I need a Fresh Air Kit?
This will depend on how air tight the home/building is. If it is very air tight, negative pressure can form and interfere with the proper functioning of the stove. If the unit is installed in a mobile/manufactured home, the fresh air kit is REQUIRED!
-
What is the second opening on the back of the stove used for?
The second opening is the unit’s air intake. This is where you would hook up the Fresh Air Kit (Part # 69FAK is a 2in opening and Part # 4FK for the 4 in openings). Piping the intake to the outside allows combustion air to enter the firepot from the outside. This will keep negative pressure from forming within the building. It will also increase the efficiency of your stove. This kit is a requirement for mobile/manufactured homes!
